Real Ceremonies: Scott and Michael

Timing is everything. That's how Ceremony App couple Scott and Michael's story began. And it resulted in a perfect seaside wedding with family, friends, and lots of meaningful handmade details.

Dorset (United Kingdom) couple Scott and Michael were initially set up by mutual friends, but both declined to meet. Later on, the two found each other through an online dating site, and made plans for a first date on their own. In September of 2017, they decided to make it official with a colorful coastal wedding at the Chine Hotel in Boscombe, Dorset, overlooking the English Channel and Poole Bay.

Scott and Michael wanted to create an intimate, relaxed event with family and friends with as many personal elements as possible. Scott designed the Save the Date cards, invitations, menus and place cards. Both partners crafted the reception centerpieces—toy buckets filled with sand and decorated with handmade pinwheels. And Scott's aunt created a gorgeous geode wedding cake with a nod to his degree and interest in geology.

To organize their event and keep all of their guests' memories in one place, Scott and Michael used Ceremony.

"We discovered Ceremony after one of our friends jokingly asked if we were going to write our own Wedding App. Ceremony quickly proved we didn't need to bother...it allowed our guests to see our schedule, send messages and share their photos with the wedding party rather than all over social media." - Scott and Michael

Here are a few of our favorite photos from this Ceremony couple's big day.

Scott and Michael, we wish you continued joy as you start your life together. Thank you for letting us be part of your celebration.
