Real Ceremonies: Melody and Jayson
It's all about the people. That's who Melody and Jayson wanted to celebrate on their wedding day—not just themselves and the true love they had for each other—but the friends and family who brought them together in the first place and helped them move forward on their journey to "I do."
Melody and Jayson were both born and raised in Denton, Texas, but the stars weren't aligned the first time they met. After staying in the "friend zone" for six years, another chance meeting sealed the deal, when Jayson was actually trying to sell Melody life insurance and true love bloomed instead.
An intimate ceremony and reception in Harvest House's beautiful beer garden set the stage for a casual, love-focused day with a Bohemian tea-party theme. The most touching moment? Probably when Melody's 13-year-old son walked her down the isle. The funniest moment? A toss up between the couple shoving cake into their son's face instead of each other's, or when the groom's dad tried to cut in on the first dance.
This is one of those "wish you were here" postcard weddings—from Melody's perfect lace dress and turquoise jewelry pairing, to little DIY details like the send-off flower toss, to the gorgeous weather.
