Real Ceremonies: Andrea and Brian
The best weddings always involve lots of support from loved ones and improvisation when those little kinks creep into the big day. That's exactly what makes this chapter of Andrea and Brian's love story so special.
The couple first met at work—an educational non-profit—where hellos turned into sparks. And when it came time to plan their wedding, this down-to-earth pair wanted to create a fun but personal celebration that included memorable touches from some of their closest family and friends. They asked a friend to provide the music, Brian's brother to officiate, and a former coworker to make the cake (who created an amazing dairy-free, dark chocolate cake!).
Fast forward to the big day. Everyone's pulling together. The venues are beautiful. The stage is set. But the bride's car won't start. And, ironically, the groom had to pick her up. Andrea and Brian had planned on not seeing each other before the ceremony, so with a little strategy, they avoided looking at one another on the drive to the church—a funny memory, and a really sweet one.
