Real Ceremonies: Nina and Jamie

When you land a job on a show like The Great British Bake Off, what more could you ask for? How about love? That's what happened to Nina and Jamie—these two London-based creatives met behind the scenes on the popular BBC series, fell for each other, and proceeded to have a DIY wedding fit for TV.

The couple, originally from Somerset and Swansea, decided to get out of the city and host a beautiful country wedding, with a picturesque reception at Nina's family home. And as for the cake, there was one per table. Yes, Nina and Jamie hosted their own bake off for guests who created some delicious competition with cakes like the Wimbledon Strawberry and Cream, the All American Chocolate, and the Greek Honey.

“It was great to have somewhere private just for all the wedding party to upload and share pictures from our special day. It meant that they were not uploaded to social media before we were happy, but all the guests could enjoying seeing and sharing them straight away." — Nina

But this DIY dream wedding extended far beyond the sweets. The flowers in the marquee and the church were arranged by Nina's mother, stained apple crates featured hand-painted directional signs for guests, and spray-painted, personalized leaves served as place cards (in fact, they were the inspiration behind our place card DIY post).

Every single photo in this feed made us smile. From the gorgeous outdoor setting to the bake off creations, this couple's wedding is the perfect inspiration for focusing on family and friends, fun, and personality.

Nina and Jamie, cheers to a beautiful, creative future that reflects all of the joy captured from your big day! Thanks for sharing these special moments.
